Here is a very very simple little song I finished tonight. Really simple guitar part, just a slow sappy love song:

Can You
Can you say you've loved and lost
Can you say you paid the cost
Can you say you took the risk
And still you never got your kiss
I can look back on my past
I can say I took that chance
I can tell you what I've missed
Cause still I never got my kiss
Can you say you took a chance
Can you say love had your dance
Can you say you gave your hand
And still I cannot be your man
I can say I saw your soul
I can say you made me whole
I can say I felt the bliss
And still I never got your kiss
Each word led me on to another word,
Each deed to another deed.

I like it. Although it would probably need some sort of chorus or something if you wanted to do anything with it.
What do you record with? It's crystal.
"Like the coldest winter chill. Heaven beside you. Hell within." -Jerry Cantrell
Thanks! I use a Shure SM58 mic running through a DBX 286a channel strip. All that to my computer where I use Cool Edit Pro 2 for recording and any post effects.
As for the guitar it's just clean through the board with reverb added after recording.
And yeah there actually is a chorus to that song, what I posted was sort of a test run till I get the chorus parts worked out... I just wanted to know if I was on the right track. Thats the first song where I actually do backing harmonies.
Thanks for the comments!
