So I have never taken lessons(yet, maybe one day I'll have excess money for such..) but I write songs and right now my band has no singer so I'd like to fill in(or stay on vocals in the future) to atleast get the songs rolling. My real question is how to create the notes/ key for song(vocalwise)? If I knew what key the guitar is in and the notes do I use those? Do I just change the notes(in key) when I want to or does it have an effect on it? I know how to build up the vocals, when to go high(verse to chorus, change.. :? ) but lack the starting line..
