Please comment on my singing (or attempt at singing :P )

So this is just a recording I made without using a proper microphone on my mac. I've always loved LOVED LOVED to sing, but been told by friends and family that I'm really quite bad... :( When I record myself, it doesn't sound like it does when I'm singing, but I also don't think it sounds really that bad. I'd appreciate if you could listen and maybe tell me where my strengths/weaknesses are and maybe whether I should just give this up really...

The song is 'The Middle" and it's on Lauren alaina's new album :) I'm a guy, btw hahaha!

Oh, and that little quivering thing I got going on near the end... that was me trying to access some vibrato... :(
