That's an A6 tuning, popular among Hawaiian and Western Swing lap steelers for its 'warm' vibe (the legendary Herb Remington did/does most of his playing in A6).

Nice playing!

nice tuning find. Steinar beat me to it. it has that distinctive sound. Hawaiian A6.
I use C6 on one lap steel. those chords; you can't help but sound vintage.
it is so cool. 8)
man, you have great tone in that tuning. seems well suited for your tele.
now fire up some Junior Brown!

you have a very nice touch. glass Dunlop? anyway, you got good finger tone.
loved the song.

Its the best glass slide I ever had.
Here is my Green Diamond slide I use for my Resonator. Its a little heavier and works great on my Reso.

It works fine, has killer sustain, however its a little heavier so I have to be carefull to keep a light touch or I knock the fretboard. On the reso its perfect because my action is a little higher and strings heavier. 8)

metal wrapped in glass? those Diamonds? That's a special arrangement Diamond offers. Most don't have the metal inside.

Now will I still have all the slide ability on my pinky that I do on my ring finger?

Just for the record...I use my 3rd finger. I never could get the control I needed with my pinky.

I think the pinky is the best way to go...if you can build the strength and control in it.
First it leaves your other fingers free for fretting, second the natural alignment of your pinky while holding the guitar neck is a perfect 90 degrees to the strings.
