Wow, nice job, Greg!
You know, one of these days I'm really have to look into getting a lap steel - I don't think building one would be anything like feasible for me with my non-existent handyman skills. That's an interesting tuning - I think it was Ricochet who once pointed out you've got a major triad on the bottom three strings and a minor triad on the top three strings. Extrapolating that, you'd be able to play 6th chords on the bottom four strings and minor 7ths on the top four strings.
