How do most of you get your ideas? I want to improve playing slide and seeking advice.Is there any books on the subject or where the notes are? I'm still wood shedding it and comes out by noodling.How do you all get ideas?

The main thing you want to do is listen to playing you like. Sit around and try to imitate it. Tab won't take you far. It can give you a rough outline to build on, though. Once you figure out the basics, you won't want to fool with it much. There's not a lot available for slide work, anyway.
