I've finally started working on a new CD, and this will be a very special project, a "Hendrix on steel & slide" tribute thing.
For those of you who are interested, I'll be posting new songs as track #4 on my MySpace player as I finish them, each new replacing the old one (obviously).
First up is my interpretation of "I Don't Live Today", and if I can keep my schedule I plan to finish 1 track every second week...
Hope you'll enjoy them and if not, well, that's life..

Great job Steinar! 8)
One question, are you playing the slide guitar with your teeth or behind your back??!

Absolutely a super job. Very impressed.
Thanks guys! :)
New tune up on MySpace now - the beautiful ballad "May This Be Love". No exploding drums or fuzz guitars on this one, just acoustic guitar, weissenborn, a "textural" electric guitar, and not the least - Norwegian jazz great Inger Marie Gundersen on vocals.
For more about Inger Marie you can visit her website or MySpace site.
Enjoy! :)

This one's terrific, too, Steinar!

One of the problems with modeling- along withe the fact that it all sounds like modeling- is the limitations you have when ordering effects and amps in the modeling chain. Even when it allows you to put things in the order that you'd use, it doesn't sound like it should if you were using the real gear. I decided a whil back that with the exception of individual pedals that model specific effects (the Boss Space Echo, specifically), I won't use that stuff. I don't record with it, and I definitely won't play live with it.
