Hey David, I'll bet there are folks on here who don't know about CBGs. You might want to start a thread on that and enlighten them.
:D

Just listen to "Among the Leaves" at the link below to see what a three stringed cigar box sounds like. If anybody is interested, I am sure ready to start posting pictures, links to building instructions, and maybe even get the Boz, hisself, over here!

I still haven't recorded anything with the Lowebow. I haven't figured out how to handle the second plug for the bass string and the resulting stereo effect from one cigar box.

If it ain't true, it ain't blues.

Don't see how we can get properly educated about CBGs without The Boz, hisself, being involved. Drag him on over! See if you can round up Rollie Tussing III, while you're at it. (He's still got my favorite rendition of "Dark Was The Night, Cold Was The Ground.") Rollie's gotten way into the CBG stuff lately, too.

Hey, now you've got my interest and curiousity...

When I was a young kid, about nine years old, I wanted to try to build one of these; but I couldn't find any good, solid info or help. The most I got was some used acoustic guitar strings from an old gospel/country yodeler guy I crossed paths with... nice enough of him, but not much good to me!

The only "real" guitar that I got my hands on at that time was so wretchedly bad, with serious cheese-cutter action and a twisted, warped warclub of a neck, that it totally discouraged me from thinking I could ever learn to play, untill I was about fourteen or fifteen...

Yeah, please post any and all pics, links, instructions, plans, an introduction to The Boz, any and everything! Cool! Thanks! Maybe I'll make a few, for friends' kids... that'd be great!

I'd start with these two sites. In the mean time, I'll see if I can round up Boz, hisself, to get over here.

Now Rico, you know there are only three kinds of people in the world: those that can count and those that can't.

If it ain't true, it ain't blues.
