Hello to all.
Does anyone send postcards anymore? Something made me think about that today.
And, whether you send postcards or not, this week's task is to write one. Obviously a musical one. You could call it "Having a Lovely Time" since "Wish You Were Here" is pretty much spoken for. Or you could do something like "The weather is here I wish you were beautiful."
As always, I look forward to reading and to listening to what you come up with.

Between "Quadrophenia" and "Tommy," The Who released an album of out-takes and rarities called "Odds and Sods." Side 1, Track 1 is a track called "Postcards," featuring the opening lines, "We're having a lovely time, wish you were here." Just for info.....

That was one of my favorite cuts on that album (for some reason "I'm a Farmer" is up there, too!). Entwhistle should have gotten more credit for being a great songwriter on his own. His solo albums were always a lot of fun, even if they were a bit uneven. And "Success Story" is one of my all time favorite songs.
