Hello to all.
One never knows what will catch one's ear while reading. And, yes, that is as silly as it sounds but songwriters (and writers in general) should always be reading with their ears as well as their eyes. This week, for example, I was reading up on Annie Oakley and the last sentence of a quote of hers stuck with me:
"Never did like that much"
I realized days later that one of the reasons it stuck with me is because Bob Dylan has a slight alteration of it in "Tangled Up in Blue"
"But I never did like it all that much"
Anyway, your task this week is to use either of these lines in your song lyric. If that's not working for you, come up with any line that follows the format:
Examples might be:
Never did fancy a new car
Never did take to higher math
Never did visit the Vatican
This only has to apply to one line in your song. Of course, you can feel free to use it for every line, should you see fit.
As always, I look forward to reading and to listening to what you come up with.
Peace
