When I started this, I was thinking about an Alice in Wonderland type place. But, after writing it, I see that it definitely is NOT. True, the name is still Wonderland, but I imagine this Wonderland as a mysterious, bordering-on-scary place.

Hmm...it seems that there's no real chorus...hmm... (well, there is a sort of chorus melody, although the words change). Oh well.

As for music, I envision something floating and chilling.

Wonderland

It's misty
Romantic
It's Wonderland…

It's twisty
And frantic
It's Wonderland…

It's the things you see when you close your eyes…
Watch out for surprises
and secret disguises…
A cross between reality and
what you've only fantasized –
It's here! It's now!
This is Wonderland.

It's steamy
And thunderous
It's Wonderland…

It's dreamy
And wonderous:
It's Wonderland…

It's a churning mass of fleeting emotions…
Of mystical beings
and magical potions…
It's every one of your wildest thoughts and
your most outrageous notions.
It's here! It's now!
This is Wonderland.

Outro:
It's misty
Romantic
and twisty
and frantic.
It's steamy
and thunderous
and dreamy
and wonderous.
It's Wonderland…
It's wonderful,
Come on in…

This is terrific SP!  It reminds me of the tunnel scene in Willie Wonka.

It kinda crescendos conceptually.  I wonder if you considered having the melody crescendo as well.  Also, what if you reversed the order of the second pair of choruses?  So that dreamy and wondrous comes before steamy and thunderous.  That way it continues to build.

It's very cool.  Well done.

Brilliant! Bravo!!!!!

I like Scratch's suggestion but otherwise its perfect! And it could be Wonderland. There's a video game called "American McGee's Alice" where the premise is Alice returning to Wonderland after its been horribly currupted by some dark force. Your wonderland meshes nicely with that image for me. Plus my hero Chris Vrenna did the music to it. So more points. Wonderful! I'm going to go read it again now.

Stunning.  Excellent interpretation of the assignment, fantastic imagery and a really good flow to the song.  I absolutely loved reading it.

Excellent stuff

Hey - thanks for taking the time to read and comment.

Scratch - your suggestion is perfect! I definitely pictured a crescendo, and I think that makes the idea of switching the last pair of choruses excellently fitting.

So, here's my slightly updated version:
