sort of a fragment from fragments.. I guess that's the idea.

I chose white for my coffinbed
So that I might just fool God
And pass into heavenly grace for pure
A simple clerical error

Hunting haunted hollow eyes
Blue as ice and smile the same
This face that watches me in my sleep
The guilt that cannot let me be

And I've tried everything..
Lord I've tried everything.
But that smiling face is all I see
Her smiling face is all I see

hey marv.
:D I like what you did with it! I thought that my lines were somehow too long/not matching/---, somehow something was wrong with them...and you made them turn out great, so thank you very much:)

I wouldn't have seen the imaginary with the smile and all that but it's cool.

thanx a lot

Very Well Done, Marv,

For some reason, I thought we were supposed to use both sets of lines in the same verse, but apparently not. Anyways, this turned out really well, and the contrast of the [ haunting, hunted, hollow eyes ] with the smiling face works wonderfully. My favorite line of all of them though is "A simple clerical error." a very understated way to describe a very momentous event.

You're right Scratch.. we're supposed to do one verse.. but I was having a lot of trouble with it. So I cheated. There's a break between the two sets of lines.. but that doesnt really mean they need to be seperate verses. Maybe throw in another set of two 4 liners after that as another "verse" and no one would notice. Or.. something.
