-"Haven't We Been Here Before"

She fought her way
Through the crowd
She called his name
But the music was too d*mn loud
Stumbled in the dark

She said
Haven't i been here before
Maybe once or twice
Always the same conclusion
What am i doing this for?

He sat there at the bar
Had a few more shots
He spotted her across the room
Felt his stomach in knots
Not another waste of time

He said
Haven't i been here before
Once or twice, he said
It's always the same conclusion
What am i doing this for

When their eyes met, they knew
There was nothing they could do
They said
Haven't we been here before
I finally found the one, in you

Hi Liz

I feel Missy Higgins sort of flavour would suit this
( hope she is known in your part of the world )

I would like to see the She said and the he said verses the exactly same

the only word missing is "maybe " in the "he said verse"

Apart from that I like this

Well done Liz

Hilch :!:

Here is to you as good as you are
And here is to me as bad as I am
As good as you are and as bad as I am
I'm as good as you are as bad as I am

I like this song very much. I would suggest the you might do this song in the style of the old Steppenwolf song "The Pusher" or Davis Crosby's "Cowboy Movie" From If I Could Only Remember My Name. That kind of feel not necessarily the same cord progression but the feel that comes form these tunes I think would fit well with theses word. I love the idea of they both have the same thoughts going on in their head about each other, it rings very true.

Life is not what you did. It's what you are doing.
