This week is a simple one.
I want you to take a look at what you wrote and write down the thoughts and images that come to mind now that you are done.
Stop thinking of it as a work in progress and think of your lyric as poetry.
How does it make you feel? Â Does it make you think of colors, or feelings, or seasons, or rain, snow, or sunny days?
Just relax and read it without thinking about working on it.
How fast or slow do you read it?
How does it flow? Â Is it sharp and staccato or smooth as silk?
Now think about your original intent, does the finished product match what you set out to write?
Is there anything in there as you read it that just strikes you as wrong? Â Make a mental note and go past it.
Just get Zen with the thing. Â You'll need it next week.

Sure, as long as you have a lyric or want to go back a couple here to write one that fits. That isn't necessary though, any lyric will do at this point.
