I'm not sure that the key phrase really makes sense in this song but I love the internal rhythm it has and it suggested the rest of this song to me. When it comes you can't fight it. You've just got to write it down.

I've tried it a couple of different ways. A slow acoustic fingerpicked ballad or an upbeat fast-strummed number. Both seem to work. It just depends what mood I'm in. Definitely an acoustic song though.

I absolutely love this first verse, sets up the song perfectly and sums up so many times i can remember feeling the same. Definitely think we need to hear a recording of this 1 :)

It's the kind of feeling that hits everyone at some time during their life.
Only a suggestion, but instead of:
"I've made too many plans
That never came to action"
Maybe:
"I've made too many plans
That never came to fruition"
Just an idea. It might not fit in to the music style or the delivery of song though...

I like it! I agree the first verse is terrific but I also like the chorus line "Blood sweat and tears/looks a lot like fear" for some reason.
I'd also love to hear the music!
