In "Pt 2" of this weeks posting, I came up with a sort of love song for the Marilyn, off the top of my head.....call that part 3, this is now going to be part 4....

Marillyn said, "bet you wrote songs like that for your ex"....."well actually no, Marilyn, I didn't, but thinking about it, you gave me an idea for yet another song.......about a certain ex you happen to know...."

Already Smashed.....

Here she comes, back on the scene,
Larger than life and twice as mean,
She played with me, justlike a toy,
I'm her favourite whipping boy....
She's ready for fun at my expense,
She knows how to get through my defence,
She's always trampled my face in the dirt,
And now she's back, to cause more hurt......

Well I got news for her, I ain't running scared,
She can't crush my hopes, they're already dashed,
She can't cause any more pain, no, no, not ever again,
She can't break my heart, it's already smashed......

This time she's got a shock in store,
I'm not lying down any more,
Tail between my legs, like a whipped cur,
I'm ain't taking no more from her....
I've been used too much too much before,
Won't get fooled, not any more,
I've took my knocks and I've paid my dues,
Time for someone else to lose.....

Well I got news for her, I ain't running scared,
She can't crush my hopes, they're already dashed,
She can't cause any more pain, no, no, not ever again,
She can't break my heart, it's already smashed......

I haven't got a bridge for this one yet, but.....I do have an idea for yet another song.....

Sort of a natural follow-up to this.....

Oh Lord, Someone stop me!!!!!

I really don't know, Hilch, there are times I can go weeks without writing anything....or writing crap, file straight into the bin - and then every now and then, something sort of kick starts the brain cell, and I come up with two or three decent songs in a week....

Sleep deprivation may have something to do with it,running on Newcy Brown and adrenaline at the moment.....

Just seems like all those good songs I've had the beginning of an idea for, then thrown out, are pouring out of my pen this week.....

:D :D :D

Vic, I like this one very much. My ex songs are always "Why, OH WHY did you leave me here all alone <sniff, sniff>

Good that you took it by the nads told her whats what. :D

Its sorta the same here. I am in a dry spell now but when the ideas start flowing I better have a pen ready. I dont know I can do FIVE in a row.. but its kind of odd how things work that way with creativity.

hey, no. 4 now...

what struck me as really nice was the way it rhymes, especially in the first verse, somewhat impressed me and seems to flow real well. the song itself was good, too, though I think I liked your first 3 songs a little more;) but that's just taste.

good job.
aren't you running out of ink?
cheers,

Gee Vic, don't hold back, tell us how you really feel!!!!

Falling in love is like learning to play the guitar; first you learn to follow the rules, then you learn to play with your heart.
