Hi Andy,

Seems to be laid out as an ode to Amber ballad personification.

It might be minor, but there seems to be a shift in who the singee is.

Here the singee is the sun that emits amber:
You have been known for all of these days
Giving sharing amber rays

Here the singee is Amber:
Amber keep shining all depends on you

Unless it's a synecdoche......calling the whole by it's part like the police being the 'long arm' of the law......or the mother being called "the hand" that rocks the cradle.......so the Sun is the 'amber' ray of light.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/synecdoche
A figure of speech in which a part is used for the whole (as hand for sailor), the whole for a part (as the law for police officer), the specific for the general (as cutthroat for assassin), the general for the specific (as thief for pickpocket), or the material for the thing made from it (as steel for sword).

I look forward to the listen. BTW what # are you on now for the 50/90?

Thanks for sharing.

James

James, thanks for the comments. The song is meant to be second person, with Amber as the "singee", and a love interest for Amber as a metaphor for the sun. Here is a recording:

BTW, it was the first song that I used a spyder capo. That was fun. Am closing in on fifty

Here is a recording:
The music seems to fit the lyrics pretty well :D It reminds me of the 90s independent films that used a lot of analog synth sounds. I can't think of a specific movie I am thinking of right now though......I'm trying to figure out what makes that "sitar" type drone in the background. Sounds like maybe a flanger effect.

It seems to end a bit abruptly, but it works.

Thanks for sharing. :D

Thanks for the listen and comments. Used a cheap classical guitar and a Garageband effect called "Shimmering Chorus" which is a combination of a compressor, chorus and reverb effects :D

It sure sounds like a "unique" effect.

That instrument had me puzzled too. I never would have guessed that it was a classical guitar. I didn't think it even was a guitar.

Amber must have an intense personality.
