Naively wandering a Renaissance Fair
Melodious drones had me ensnared
I searched through the rows of tents all around
My virgin ears loved that dulcimer sound
I spotted a maiden in a purple gown
She knew with a look she had me spell bound
She smiled as I blushed when I asked her to sing
She smiled as I fumbled around with her strings
My dulcimer
My dulcimer
Sing, Sing for me
My dulcimer
Thirty years later still can’t break the spell
Those strings still sing though rusting at the nail
Her teardrop shaped body still smooth on my lap
Out on the front porch I ask for a dance
My dulcimer
My dulcimer
Sing, Sing for me
My dulcimer
ROTFL. James, thanks for posting that. It made my day. Besides being a hilarious double entendre, everything fits. It could be something that would be played at a renaissance faire.
