Y8W43 Heroes

http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9568302

I, I remember
When different was labeled dangerous
by the wall

Spies, spies on every corner
Took us by surprise
They took us all

Three years
I had roses
And apologized to no one

We can be heroes just for one day

I, I remember
the fifth, the fifth of November
the gunpowder treason and plot
There's no reason why they should be forgot

We can be heroes just for one day
We can be heroes just for one day

I, I pray whoever you are
You escape this place and the world in turn is better
I, I'm writing to you
Words of hope from a kingdom that will never fall

I may never laugh or cry with you
or kiss you
but I love you
With all my heart

We can be heroes just for one day
We can be heroes just for one day

Good choice, James.
And good job on the song.

I haven't seen the movie . . .
from the lyrics I assume it had something to do with Guy Fawkes?

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

By the way, here's Dylan Barrett's "Heroes" during his first year of learning to play the guitar . . .
when he was chronicling his adventure into the world of making guitar noises.

Hey Ken,

Thanks for posting that. Dylan did a nice job on the vocals and playing at the same time. :D I think he did a good job capturing the voice phrasing of Bowie's on the low end side of the singing scale....

At least "researching" David Bowie's version made me appreciate his vocal range and control of singing in both his low and high end....I couldn't make that falsetto jump in the last half of the song and when I tried dropping it a key, I had that Johnny Cash mumble sound going on :? ....Now I think it was a bit of a mistake to try to match some of the vocal phrasing b/c I definitely have a different voice "sound" than Bowie....but singing is a whole other ball game
