Bridge (James)
They used to say honey you're cute and you're funny
But now they say dummy you spent all the money
and no one's laughing no mo'
‘Cause it ain't no joke when you're broke
Hi Peter,
Thanks for the listen and post :D
Cheers.
James
Hey Ken,
That's my title.
Whoohooo!
Indeed it is :D
Thanks for the listen and post
James
BTW I was wondering if you got the title idea from Langston Hughes' "Broke" or if it was coincidence.
You might want to work the angle of him being a joker or a clown when he was younger.
That will emphasize the "joke" part of the title.
" . . . always the clown . . .
" . . . joking around . . ."
" . . . playing the fool . . ." (while skipping school?)
" . . . never saving for a rainy day . . ."
Looking forward to see where you go with this.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Could be, but you know typically we contribute a bit and move on for the next person to pick up from, so it will most likely be in the hands of another.

yay, i like :D thought the title is terrific when i first read it, but wouldn't have known how to go on from there - great to see that James did :D

my guess is that we'll have different people working on the same song and, in the end, compare the first version that was based upon the title alone, but of which we only see the bridge for now, with the one that emerges out of the bridge over the next weeks ;-) but only mighty Vic knows for sure
that reminds me.. i should start picking a title sometime soon
cheers!
