Wings in Time
starting to sound like the makings of a planÂ

Who is there?Â
A young boy, just arrived in the big city. He is wearing his smartest clothes (though they are a little worn and old). He has his hair slicked back and is carrying an old brown briefcase which is crammed full of ideas. He is standing on a street corner, unsure whether to turn left or right. There are bright lights on either side and the traffic is moving much more quickly here. There are others on the pavement – some are viewing him with obvious interest, though the others are rushing past, attending to their own business.
What happened immediately before?
He has just stepped off of a train, straight from the sleepy town in which he was raised. His mother cried to see him go, but she gave him her mother's ring and told him that she would always be with him.The journey was a long one, but now that he is finally here he finds himself full of energy and expectation. The station was the biggest he had ever seen with grand victorian architecture, noisy and full of people.
What is about to happen?-
He is going to have to make a decision about which way to go. There will be huge dark buildings and vast walls whichever way he goes, but there will also be warm lights and windows full of laughing people. He will have to find some food and a place for the night and kill some time. He will meet a few of the residents, an older man and a beautiful woman. In the morning he must meet with the people will give him an answer about the propositions he has put to them and find out whether he will be able to stay and make a go of it here.
Why is this happening?
He must find his way through in a place which is nothing like what he had imagined it to be. He must learn what he is, what he wants to be and how to reconcile the two.
Where?
In a new city, with foreign architecture and unfamiliar faces. It's a loud and overbearing place, but also a place full of life and brimming with possibilities. It is home to the best and worst aspects of life and humanity.
When?Â
In the spring of a year in a recent, but undefined decade. Beginning in the evening, around dusk.

Quite a lot of detail there. I'm looking forward to the lyrics, which I assume will be the next assignment.
