We're attempting to get on a plane to Thailand tonight, if not we'll try again tomorrow. A day or two in Bangkok, then off to Koh Lipe way down in the South of Thailand and the last few days may be spent on Koh Phi Phi (pronounced pee pee), before returning to Bangkok for the last couple of days to be spent shopping.
Oh, man, it's such hard work, prawn fried rice for breakfast, fresh fruit for lunch and more Thai delicacies for the evening meal, washed down with Chang or Singha beer ........ Oh, the hardship :D :D :D
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

Unfortunately, I landed back in Germany this morning...................... :(
Great time.......Koh Lipe is beautiful with some really nice snorkelling. Excellent food (as always).
Instead of Koh Phi Phi, we went to Koh Ngai (pronounced nigh) - also called Koh Hai. Very windy, but also very peaceful.
Then a return to Bangkok for a bit of Xmas shopping and sitting by the roadside, eating fantastic seafood - a portion of prawn fried rice, a dish of prawn with garlic (heaps of the stuff), a dish of steamed rice, a plate of green lipped mussels and 3 Chang beers came to the majestic sum of 380 Baht (about 12 USD). We bought some jewellery in Chinatown - a 22k gold ring for 5 EUR over gold price, is not to be sneezed at.
When I can get round to it (I've been home about an hour - after a sleepless night on the plane) I'll maybe post a couple of pics.
PS If I'd known Alan was in FFM, I'd have tried to meet up, although, I don't suspect that being at Frankfurt airport at 6:30am would be vastly motivating. :lol:
