Once again I'm getting ready to put GN through another face lift. As moderators you get exclusive access ahead of everyone else. I'd appreciate comments and bug reports as I'm not quite finished yet. If you see anything wrong feel free to use the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard to send me a snap of what you see.

The new site is at https://www.guitarnoise.com/delta/

It's standards compliant (except for a few of the ads). I've tested it in Firefox, Explorer, Opera and Safari. It does require a screen resolution wider than 800px - and I'm betting that will be the first complaint I hear.

I still have a lot of content to input so we are several weeks away from a relaunch.

It looks fine from home. The forums page will keep its current look, right? I'll have a look from work as well. My screen there is different from home.

It failed to open for me at work.

Weird that the forums open but the new site doesn't. That shouldn't be.

I might make the forums like new site as well - minus the ads. Certainly no plans for changing the forums just yet, but it would be good to have some navigation for other parts of the site.

It opened just fine for me. And, it looks good! I clicked around and everything came up as it should. No glitches that I could find! :D

Looks good to me. It gives more importance to the recently posted lessons, and the right-side menu is very clean.

Nicely done.

On the whole, it looks good, but the banner, at the top, is far too intrusive for my liking. A large area of dark blue with very little content is somewhat overpowering (particularly for those with smaller screens or lower resolutions).

I've just flicked over to a couple of the lessons and the "print" option has disappeared from them.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

The ads at the moment are just fillers. They'll all be replaced with something (hopefully) easier on the eyes.

The print option won't be necessary as hitting your browsers print button will automatically strip out all the stuff you wouldn't normally want printed. Try doing a "print preview."

I like this. Sort of a "magazine" feel to it. I think youngsters and old farts alike can relate to this format :D
