I listened to most of the NPR interview and it was pretty good. She sounds real personable on top of being a good entertainer.

I agree 1000%

Bela Fleck is an awesome banjo player!

I saw the DVD (combo CD/DVD) he has with Edgar Meyer and was BLOWN away!!! It was really funny to see (from the outside) what goes on when constructing music. The DVD was funny and at the same time, musically mind blowing.

... and the Flecktones (including Victor Wootan) are one fantastic band, as well.

My hubby and I have seen Bela Fleck in concert several times, and each time I just sit there with my mouth open watching everyone play. From the guy that makes up his horn section playing 2 sax's at once,to "Future Man" on percussion. Awesome!! And Bela is cool whether he's doing jazz, bluegrass, or classical on that banjo!

Falling in love is like learning to play the guitar; first you learn to follow the rules, then you learn to play with your heart.

I visited my sister the other day. My brother in law and a friend of his was writing a song for church service. My nine year old niece Amanda picked up a banjo and just started to play along with them    I knew she was learning some guitar chords but this just blew me away :D How cool is that! She figured out open G tuning on her own
