There aren't many lady guitar players so I'm going to narrow it down further...! Any of you lefties?

I'm also left-handed! :D The only problem is that my dad doesn't want me playing--so I'm teaching myself on his right-handed guitar...heheh. I have to learn the right-handed way; my dad would definitely notice reversed strings....

Wish I knew someone I could practice with. I hear you can really progess if you play with someone that is better. Shoot I don't even know anyone that plays guitar. :( Oh well.

i am a lefty too but i don't strum guitars using my left. I've tried it once, it was difficult for me to do!

you could play a right-handed guitar upside down, a la Otis Rush and Albert King

or.....you could just learn to play righty, like I did (yup, another lefty by day, and righty by play here, lol) :P
I am a newbie, haven't done an intro post yet. Also new to the guitar. I used to play but my first husband didn't like it so I quit.
Going shopping with my son (who plays quite well) next week for my first guitar.
I am left handed but do lots of things right handed, so I am going to try both.
Betcha I wind up with a left handed guitar, though.
Also, I am 57 and someone (a stupid relative) laughed and said she would hide when she saw me coming when I posted on Facebook that I was going to try to learn to play again. :roll:
