We've got a few freebie lists scattered about. Mostly Nick doing this 4-6 years ago, depending on the topic. There's a ton of free resources out there. It would be really neat to see it in some kind of indexed format. A nice, organized post to a sticky/locked thread. Perhaps sectionalize by what the software does. "Recording" or "Backing tracks" or "chord charts", "Metronomes", "Drum Sims", etc, etc. Maybe also do a sister thread for submissions "free stuff submissions" so that the list can remain clean.
