Writing Punk Songs

You'll need:

-At least two chords, if possible no more then four.
-Lots of distortion.
-The song should be no longer then three minutes.
-No solo allowed.
-Lyrics should be shallow, direct and to-the-point.

I'm sure most of you have heard of the TV series "I'm a celebrity - get me out of here" - the British one is currently running and one of the celebrities is a man called John Lydon, who turns out to be quite intelligent and comes up with a lot of helpful and useful advice. He is obviously no dummy.

Oh, yes, John Lydon is the real name of Johnny Rotten, erstwhile Sex Pistol. Amazing what lurks behind that tattered facade.

The very thought of Jordan trying to get to grips with a dreadnought acoustic is mind boggling, she'd need arms like a gorilla just to reach the strings.
She'd also also have to be extremely careful with string ends - they could cause a very nasty puncture.

It would be great if you could write a lesson or article on punk song basics/elements to help people understand the basics of real punk music, ie sex pistols, ramones etc

Or, there could be lessons on writing Emo songs, I don't really like the music, but I find the words, (from selected bands) a lot more "real" for lack of a better word, then regular punk. Wow theres an oxymoron, kind of, maybe.
