Happy thanksgiving to all :D My nephew just bought his first bass guitar ( Ibanez electric) and he's just starting out. I was wondering which books would be good for him to learn from. I would also like to know if there is another web site(no offense, I use and love this web site myself...I play acoustic guitar!) he could benefit from for a begginer.
Thanks 8)

Helgi's been recommending
http://www.wheatdesign.com/bassbook/
I'm not a bass player, yet ( Ihave my hands full learning the guitar), but the site looks good to me
I'm sure one or two of the bass players will wander by with some more suggestions. Â :)

CyberFret Bass - can't go far wrong there. They have video clips and everything. That's where I learned the fundamentals.
Thank you for your replies!! ;)

Wheat's bass book is really good. I strongly recomend it.

I second the recommendation of Wheat's free, on-line Bass Book, and here's the URL:
