Yeah, even over here, a G7 is a G dominant 7...G major 7 is notes as Gmaj7 (here in the states).

Thanks everyone! I did not know about the major and minor's of 7th and others. I read Davids article at lunch while I was working out and discovers I know even less than I thought. Thanks for the education.
