Classical Blues: I IV V (in A: A DE). Example of a 12 bar blues:

A A A A
D D A A
E D A E

Strumming pattern: doesn't matter, really. Come up with something nice and easy.

Yeah any I, IV, V will work... making them all 7th's sound more blues...

E7, A7 & B7

G7, C7, D7

For sad blues maybe you'd want to do minor chords.

It's the blues baby, you can do lots of stuff.

E doesn't = MC2, E = Fb

Music "Theory"? "It's not just a theory, it's the way it is!"
