I know most people angle their pick at the front (nearest the neck) downwards when they have to. I angle my pick closest to the bridge downwards when i have to, ie tremolo picking. Is there disadvantages to this? Is it something i need to stop immediately?
Hendrix played some chords using his Thumb.
B.B. King never plays chords and,
Clapton almost never uses his pinky.
What im getting at is, play the way that feels right to you (unless your a classical guitarist). The greats sure did. Why cant you?
At this time I would like to tell you that NO MATTER WHAT...IT IS WITH GOD. HE IS GRACIOUS AND MERCIFUL. HIS WAY IS IN LOVE, THROUGH WHICH WE ALL ARE. IT IS TRULY -- A LOVE SUPREME --. John Coltrane
Thanks. Just figured i'd ask before i got too set in my ways. I play classical now too, so i'll leave the strict attention to rules for that guitar. Hendrix was too good at guitar.

Way, way, way, too good.
