I found an awsome deal on a new Fender Bassman 60. I bought it so I could start learning to play bass. However, I have been using it as a backup amp for my guitar. The bass player in my band said acoustics sound great through bass amps too. Does anyone know if electric or acoustic guitars can damage a bass amp?

As I remember, Eric Clapton played through a Fender Bassman for years.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

You can never hurt a bass amp!

Well almost never...

Anyway, you can run a guitar, electric or acoustic, or a keyboard, or anything else you want through there. The only thing is that an electric might not sound very good, depending on the amp design, as the amp and speaker are not designed to breakup nicely.
