Chris, do you prefer a set neck, or a bolt-on neck on your Corn Flakes guitar?
I find that the set neck provides much better sustain. I plan on upgrading my corn flakes model soon. I'm going to add rasins. I need something to soften that crunch.
Hi Snarfy,
Set neck or bolt on depends a bit on whether I'm using the stick of celery or the leek for a neck. Last time I played it, the audience all shouted "rhubarb, rhubarb..." so maybe I should try that instead... :?
Great "Crunch" pun! I'm a sucker for a good pun. :D We have a cereal here called Sustain as well, so maybe that's the box to use...
Sorry about delayed response - it's due to living upside down in Australia and sleeping while you guys are all awake. I also had a rather major computer crash to fix up.
Rik,
I haven't lost it - I never had it in the first place... :)

OK, I'll admit to not completely understanding the "rhubarb" thing. I suspect that you've lapsed into speaking Australian :P But I'm sure it's darn funny.
On a serious (and actually relevant to the thread) note, I sometimes use a capo just to make chord changes easier. I don't know if it's due to string tension, or smaller fret spacing, or what, but if I tune down 1/2 to 1 step, then put a capo at the first or second fret, I'm much better at chord changes.
Hey, "Sustain" would be a great name for a Viagra-type drug, wouldn't it? Gotta get down to the patent & trademark office!
Chris, mate I'm still LMAO. Celery, leeks and now rhubarb, you're getting worse buddy you really are :D
Question for you and Snarfy, what strings do you use :?:
The only thing that keeps me from realising my full potential is the depressing awareness that it wouldn't take much time or effort...

String beans?
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

Or maybe strings of onions, for a truly awesome rendering of "While my guitar gently weeps"

I've got nothing. And, anyway, it's degenerated to the point where I think I should just back out of this discussion while no one's paying attention 8)
