I have an Alvarez acoustic. I know the factory set up was with Elixir strings. But I don't remember if they were lights, custom lights or extra lights. I couldn't find any info on the Alvarez site. Does anybody know what the original setup was? If not, will it make a difference if the string gauge changes from th original setup? Even a slight change like the difference in the Elixir strings. Thanks for any help.

Well I got this guitar and I'm tryin' to learn how to make it talk.

Take it down to the shop and they can measure the string size on it.

It can matter if he changes and starts getting string buzz.
He could also get strings binding at the nut.
