Alright everyone I finally got a guitar :D It was supposed to be a christmas present but my mom let me have it early. I really want to start playing some Judas Priest but I don't have anywhere near enough skill to make anything that resembles one of there songs yet :oops: and I need some distortion! who likes playing clean any way? :wink: I need to find a teacher and I need to find a distortion pedal I was thinking of this http://www.bossus.com/index.asp?pg=1&tmp=5 but I'm not sure it is the right way to go any help very appreciated!

what kind of amp are you using? most guitar amps i know about
have some kind of distortion built in, and that should keep you busy
at least for a while..
and if you really want a distortion pedal, go to a music shop and try some out.. i know that the metalzone is to much for me anyway...
as for judas priest, have a look at stuff
like breaking the law.. it really isnt that difficult, and with a bit of patience,
and some sore fingers, you should be able to play something like it..
check out the easy song database here for stuff to get you going..

Well since you seem to know about Priest songs am I looking in the right direction? Or should I look for something totally different?
