I need serious help with the hammer on, in heart of gold. All help in appreciated!

Welcome to the musical madhouse!
What kind of help are you looking for? If you're needing information on how to play a hammer-on or pull-off, I suggest looking at the photos and video here:
Cyberfret's Hammer-ons and Pull-offs and here: Hammer on, Pull off, Tap, Repeat, Nick's video lesson.
And bear in mind that it takes a more "decisive" hammer-on to get the right sound on acoustic.
Hope that helps!

are there any videos showing it?

Yeah, Nick's lesson has a video, I think cyberfret does too.
Did my first post get deleted? Or did I just imagine writing it.
Its just my imagination, running away with me ( sorry flashback)

Hey Taso,
I think you imagined it. Or maybe you're thinking of a similar thread from a few days ago?

The videos are there. Under the second paragraph of
http://www.cyberfret.com/techniques/hammer-ons-pull-offs/index.php
click "REAL PLAYER VIDEO."
There's also another video on page 2 the that article. They are short Real Audio files in video.

when i was learning hammer ons i really struggled. Until someone said to me to really attack the string, don't mess about just plonking your finger down, think of banging it down like you are trying to knock a nail in!
And its important to note that you DON'T HAVE TO hammer on immediately after sounding the note - in fact its quite a dramatic effect to let the note ring for half a beat (or more) and then hammer on.
When you watch your hammer on finger, it should be moving pretty quick at the point where its heading for the string, work on speed and power to start with, really give the string a whack. If you don't, you will lose tone
hope that helps a bit
