hello all

a quick update: a friend of mine showed me the Am pentatonic scale and I started to play it as a warm-up exercise! I'm enthusiastic of it becasue:

a)t's incredibly fun to play;
b) it can be transposed up and down the fretboard;
c) it sound so metal!;
d) it's a lot easier than the G-scale;
e) I've found out that after just a few days playing the scale helped me to strecht my fingers a lot: yesterday for the first time I was able to play the E shuffle and the rock-shuffle a la Roll over bethoveen quite easily!

Long live the pentatonic!!

Matteo

matteo, that scale is one that many of the world's famous guitar legends have based their careers on. Learn it, especially where the notes are, and in all the keys, and you'll have a great foundation for when you start to learn to improvise.
