On the strap lock, the screw that came with it is to small to fit in the hole on my guitar, so it wont stay in there the screw that is with my guitar is bigger than the one that cam with the thing waht should I do?
Well, for one, you should make your avatar smaller.
2, most common way is to break off toothpicks in the hole, but I think I heard a better way here a little while back... someone else will chime in here.
Do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life...
Toothpicks are the way to go and you could even add some white or wood glue as you stack the toothpicks in. No need to wait for the glue to dry and the screw will still be removable later.
In the future, don't be a moron - take out one of the screws from the strap buttons, bring it with you to the store, and then find a straplock that fits a screw of that size.
Saves ya some effort in the long run, and that way you're not screwing around with toothpicks :P
Henry Garza, Saul Hudson, and Darrell Abbott could not be here tonight, but they all had sex and are proud to announce the birth of their two-headed baby, Rodya S. Thompson.
- Paraphrased from the Tenacious D series
The toothpick method takes about 5 seconds to do and is very safe and reliable.
