If your new to the blues listening to some of the early rock might get you even more interested. I know that by listening to Eric Clapton in Cream got me into Albert King. Listening to Eric Clapton on the Beano album definetly got me into Freddie King. From there I got into a lot of Peter Green and that slow blues stlyle he does so well, kind of like a sadder version of BB King.

Pretty much anything by the 3 Kings, and for more rock based stuff i would recommend A Hard Road with Peter Green, and the Beano album with Clapton by John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers.
