I went over to my brother-in-laws house, and i played his guitar. It was my first time. He started to show me how to play this song ( Stand here with me) by creed. When i got home i just wanted to look online to see what the tabs were for this song, but when i looked, it showed this chart. Can someone explain it in detail, cause i am confused! :(

Intro:

b--------------------------------------------------

d-0-12h14-12h14-12h14-12-16---0-12-14-17p15-14-12--

So, why is there only numbers on the D line?

because the only notes played are on the D string (the 4th fattest string).

Oh, i get it. The O at the beginning represents an open note right? And then from left to right you play the notes?

Next to some of the numbers there are letters like p and h. What are those?
