Is it common to get some rattle in your strings when playing? I notice it sometimes when I'm playing and I took some lessons and noticed it in the instructors play as well. It's not very bad or distractive but it's there. Am I just doing something wrong and have a bad teacher or is it normal?

More common with an electric, but if your strings action is low and you wack em hard ... sure, they will rattle some. Mine all do. As long as it doesn't mute the note on you, play on, who cares.

thank, just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong.
