OK..Taking NoteBoat's advice in one of my other threads This is one "style I want to play: Rock-N-Roll Blues. Now I got the rhythm down fine...my question is do I still follow the 12 bar blues format of:

I-I-I-I
IV-IV-I-I
V-IV-I-V

Or is there a totally other way it should be played?

Thanks

PS...NoteBoat you gave me the inspiration I was needing! Thank You!

Here is my first attempt at this..I am using the I & IV in E from the blues shuffle...

Mike's Rock Blues

I think the rhythm is OK...I just need the chords to learn it properly...

Thanks

You got the concept now all you need to do is stick with it and experiment with a few chord progressions.

You got the rhythm right now just work on consistency of the tempo and you are good to go.

Just a side note, sounds like your G string is a little sharp.

Thanks Nils....It was off only a VERY little...
And thanks for all your suggestions...I just need to find the right chord progressions for all of these...I can't keep doing the 12 bar thing...it'ss get old too quick!

Here's one more boogie variation I did: Boogie

Thanks again!!

Interesting variation. Sounds good.

Try to find some tabs for songs you like that have that sound and you will have your chord progressions.

Thanks...I got all these from the site Teleplayer posted in my "backing track" thread. Here is the site if you didn't see it.
