Hi!
I'm trying out this Rude Mood (at least the main riff), and I was wondering, what do you do on the up stroke to get that sound? I can't really describe it, if you listen to the song you'll probally know what I'm talking about. Do you it the strings open, or do you muffle them and rake them? I hope you kinda understand...

Thanks for any help.

Yes to all.

You will only be fretting the actual notes -- "the bass walk thingy" -- the other strings will be open but frethand muted and raked on the up stroke.

Same concept as in pride and joy, cold shot, I'm crying are 3 more examples.

I find it easier to keep a "metal" like feel to the strumming. Like the Chuga Chuga but try to include all the strings not the 2-3 strings atypical to the metal type groove.

Hope this helps and good luck.
