(I figure major/minor/pentatonic/blues?)

Major Pentatonic – 1-2-3-5-6-1
Minor Pentatonic – 1-b3-4-5-b7-1
Major Scale – 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-1
Blues Scale – 1-b3-4-b5-5-b7-1 (Minor Pentatonic + b5)

From the major scale you have three possible relative minor scales (starting on the 6 of the major scale).

Natural minor = 1-2-b3-4-5-b6-b7-1
Harmonic minor = 1-2-b3-4-5-b6-7-1
Melodic minor ascending = 1-2-b3-4-5-6-7-1
Melodic minor descending = natural minor

To help you learn the scales you could work on tabbing the scale's you need. Sometime you'll have to know the notes on the fretboard, by doing this you'll learn both.

Tracker, thanks!

Arjen, ?GP? do you mean http://www.guitarplayer.com I didn't find a demo there, but maybe I was not looking at the right place. BTW, I do practice the A-minor pentatonic scale from your lesson regularly, but I need to add more scales.

thanks!

Here's a few tabbed scales. It's the ones that are a good place as any to start. When I get some more time I'll add to it or if you would like to add some. Scales Tabbed

The page was done with Cascading Style Sheets, no frames or tables. The css only creates the illusion of frames, because the main content area scrolls, while the back ground, header and footer are fixed. Older browsers may have a problem with css. What browser are you using. The page works fine in the browsers I tested it in.

Your Welcome. I think this page looks better than the first one. The first one used css to create fix the footer, header and background in position. It does work pretty slick. These are the scale I use a majority of the time and what I could think off right off hand. When I get time I'll update it with a few more.

Have Fun.
