Here's another Beatle song to practice our "Seventh" chords. (See "You Can't Do That" and "When I Get Home"). Because this one is probably a little more difficult than the other two, and because this is the "Easy Song Database", I am including this song in an "easy" version as well. (That is how I learned it originally . . . there is no Intro, the chords are easier, fewer and less chord changes.) Just place the capo on the 4th fret to play with the recording. It is at the end of this post.
One disadvantage of the "easy version" is that the Intro just doesn't sound as "rich sounding" with a capo. That's why I prefer the version immediately below. I have included how I finger the notes (a = pinky) immediately below the bars; and, I have also included an alternate Intro for those who would like to include some chords, with less notes. (Of course, if you have two guitarists you can play both and have the best of all worlds!)

It's not as intimidating as it may first appear. You can play an easy E7 (020100) but it sounds much better to play as shown; the C#7 is the same as a B7, only it is moved up two frets; if you can play a Bm (bar or otherwise) you can play a C#m (just move it up two frets as well); and the F#7 is simply a Bar F# (E form) with the pinky lifted.
Rather than the fade-out, I end the song on an E chord.
Final note: John said he wrote this song "when there was no Beatles and no group." Pretty good song for such a young lad!
