Another great one by Mr. Lennon. You can play this easily by playing the normal G-D-F chords in the verses, but it sounds a lot cooler using the G-Dsus4-Fsus2/A progession to get that droning sound of the e-string (3rd fret). The key is to keep your pinky anchored on the 3rd fret of the 1st (e) string.

G 320033 (keep pinky anchored)
Dsus4 xx0233 (keep pinky anchored)
Fsus2/A xx3213 (keep pinky anchored)
Am7 x02213 (keep pinky anchored)
Fmaj7 xx3210

Great one shug,

I have always thought that this song and "No Reply" (which I love and always play at full volume on the Hi Fi) from the Beatles For Sale album were underated. Then the whole album got a panning by the critics when it came out.

How many bands these days can take time out of constant touring, Make a film, "Hard Days Night", record a matchless soundrack album for that film and then make room to record a second album in the same year to catch the Christmas market and to keep EMI happy. Then record said album of such high quality. Alright it contained cover songs as well but what brilliant covers they were.

Not many I fear!

Thanks again shug I'll be having a go at this one.

Chris

The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)

This has always been one of my favorite Beatle songs. I always loved that low note:

"I should never have crossed"

One of the greatest hooks ever. 8)

Thanks for the great song.

If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
