Hey would you please tell me how the strings are muted in the starting and during the song.Thanks.(mrs. robinson by simon and garfunkle) :)
Can anyone suggest a strumming pattern for Mrs. Robinson? It's a little difficult for me to figure out. Thanks in advance.
Rahul
I haven't heard this song in ages, although it was one of my favorties, so I am going to guess here. Paul probably just laid the fingers of his fretting hand across the strings flat and strummed. You just touch the strings, do not press down at all. This is a common muting technique, especially on acoustic guitar.

Again, I haven't heard this song in awhile, but a good strum that should work would be.

If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
You wouldn't happen to have the full tab of this would you? I have seen several but it seem difficult to play or it sounded bland.
Thanks
Hey Mike,
Try this one, sounds good to me...

Looking for people to jam with in Sydney Oz.......
Thanks, Wes. I'll give it a shot with that pattern. I always liked this song and would like to get it down. BTW, I've been using this tab:

Thought it sounded okay. Does it seem right to you guys? The one posted by kblake looks a little above my competence level (my barre chords suck).
Put your capo on the third fret and you've got the same chords. I'm pretty sure that's how Mr. Simon plays it as well, listening to the open strings in the original recording.
Peace
