I gots me a new pedal today.

It is a used Electro-Harmonix Double Muff. paid $30 for it.

i really like it. i enjoy the fuzz sound in general. it's single-muff setting sounds very similar to one of the settings on my Tweak Fuzz, and at first this disappointed me but then i realized it would allow me to dial the TweakFuzz into a nastier setting and have both sounds at my feet, which is pretty cool, cos it's annoying to change dials all the time.

i like the electro-harmonix stuff.

Oh yeah, Electro Harmonix were some of the earliest distortion pedals.

My first distortion pedal ever (and it wasn't a pedal) was the Muff Fuzz.

These were all the rage back in the early 70's. You either plugged the 1/4" jack straight into your guitar, or into your amp's input jack. It had an on/off switch and a gain control that adjusted the amount of distortion. This was a real "fuzz". They were extremely noisey and made all sorts of horrible noises, and had a very harsh high frequency fuzz, but we thought they were great. 8)

I would love to find one of these, I had trouble even finding a photo. But this was my first "fuzzbox" as we called them back then, and I loved it.

Edit- Here is an old video of Devo from Saturday Night Live mid 70s. The singer was using one of these Muff Fuzz's, if you look close you might see it. You can hear it at the very end of the song.

That seems like a good price Brian.

I'm ordering an EXH Small Clone chorus pedal in the group purchase deal on the '51 forum. Was thinking about the Holy Grail, but I'll get more use out of the chorus pedal for bass. Looking forward to it!

I'm crazy for distortion it seems. I have 7 and my boss ME-50 that models 22 different ones.

It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!
