G'day all
I'm building up a database of the most popular Stompbox/Effects units
so was looking for some input if you'd like to share.

I'll post the results as this evolves on my web site and post a link here.

Doesn't have to be just what you currently use but also old favorites (that
you wish you still had) or what you would really like to have.

Thought I'd break it down into 4 sections.

1. Distortion/Preamp, tone or dynamics shaping.
2. Delay/Reverb
3. Modulation/Filter/Special effect
4 Other (anything I've missed)

Mine is

1. Distortion
My Sansamp GT-2 and PSA-1 for dirty and my Tri A.C. for the cleanish Fender sound

2. Delay/Reverb
Boss DD-5, Lexicon PCM-70 (wish I still had it), Magicstomp

3. Modulation/Filter/Special effect
Cry Baby Wah, Univibe.

4 Other
Korg Pandora.

Thanks for your input.

OK, here ya go:

1. Wah: CryBaby Classic (GCB-95)

2. Compressor: MXR Dyna-Comp

3. Overdrive/Distortion: Rocktron Austin Gold (LOVE this pedal!!!)

4. Delay/Reverb: Rocktron Short-Timer AND the "ambient delay" portion of my Rocktron Tsunami Chorus

5. Modulation/Filter/Special Effect: Rocktron Tsunami Chorus

6. EQ: MXR 10-Band Graphic EQ

Just for context, the order in which they're used is (from guitar > amp):

CryBaby Wah

MXR Dyna-Comp

Austin Gold OD

MXR 10-Band EQ

Short-Timer Delay

Tsunami Chorus with Ambient Delay

Cheers!

1. Distortion/Preamp, tone or dynamics shaping.

Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive overdrive/distortion pedal
2. Delay/Reverb

Line6 DL4 delay modeler (now broken #@$! and sub'ed with Line6 Echo Park Coretone pedal)
3. Modulation/Filter/Special effect

Wah -- have a couple Crybabies, but need to get something better
4 Other (anything I've missed)

Probably my Ernie Ball Volume Pedal, esp for manual swell FX

Occasionally, I also use a Pandora PX4

I've only one vital effect that I've used in every 'project' of mine:

My effects chain is usually guitar and amp, but on rare occasions when I spice things up with effects, the chain runs like this:

Guitar -> Boss CS-2 compressor -> amp input, FX send -> Marshall regenerator (modulation effects) -> Ibanez AD-7 delay -> FX return

Playing guitar and never playing for others is like studying medicine and never working in a clinic.

The effects line I'm looking to create is:

guitar-> (own- bridge setting most of the time)
Boss SD1 super overdrive-> (own- have it on all the time)
Danelectro EQ fish and chip-> (own- to muddy it up/scoop the mids/raise the mids for pure lead)
Electro Harmonix Tube Zipper->
MXR Dyna Comp->
Boss DS2 turbo distortion-> (own- for clean distortion..yeah)
Vox Clyde McCoy reissue wah wah->
ProCo Rat distortion->
MXR Phase 90->
MD Fuzzyland-> (own)
Moog MF-107->
Boss HR2 Harmonist-> (own)
Boss DD3 digital delay-> (own)
Alesis Reverb (stack)-> (own- amazing addition to my sound)
amp (own- solidstate on clean)

As for the rest, I need to see if I can get some generous christmas presents or sell some old stuff...

if I were to be stranded on a deserted island with my guitar and amp and a source of electricity the one pedal I would absolutely want is my Tubescreamer (turbo model and modded by analogman). I would need nothing else.
