I am interest in learning a little about bluegrass theory particularly soloing. I have been trying to improvise over a bluegrass rhythm, but cannot seem to get the bluegrass feel that i am looking for. I have been using a G major scale over a key of g rhythm with a little pentatonic. I know that in blues you can play an A minor scale over a rhythm in the key of A major and the clashing notes give you a blues feel. Is there anything like that in bluegrass?
Also, what arpeggios work well over certain chords in the key? and I know that bluegrass soloists use a lot of chromatic passes, so what position in the scale is a good place to add a chromatic pass?
Also does anyone know of any online bluegrass websites or lessons?

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
